Extension of the building of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science of the University of Gdańsk in Gdańsk for the purpose of training in the field of practical profile

The subject of the project is the extension of the building of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science of the University of Gdańsk together with the purchase of equipment and software, which will enable the creation of a new field of study: computer science with a practical profile. At the same time, the project will implement soft actions aimed at improving the qualifications of the teaching staff of the Institute of Computer Science of the University of Gdańsk (training, consultations, workshops), as well as to create a programme of education tailored to the needs of the economy. Thanks to the broad cooperation in the project, including the involvement of employers (including the project partner – Kainos Software Poland), Pomerania Development Agency, Polish-Japanese Academy of Computer Technology and upper secondary schools, graduates of the new course will have the competences best suited to the needs of the labour market. Thus, the implementation of the project will allow to adapt the offer of vocational training at a higher level to the needs of the economy and ensure high employability of graduates of the new direction.
