Healthy PBS employee – health promotion in the workplace

The project covers 122 persons permanently cooperating with PBS sp.z o.o. in Sopot, including: field surveyors(AT)-35 people and office workers(PB)-87 people. Among the above-mentioned groups, an in-depth analysis will be carried out to identify hazards and assess the risks associated with the workplace.The analysis will include: positions affecting the health of workers, risk factors and related health problems.The analysis will take into account the individual situation of employees (needs, skills, possibilities) at the workplace. The next step will be the development and implementation of a comprehensive programme of prevention of hazards in the workplace.Employees will be covered by 2 preventive programmes: 1.Programme on psychosocial threats in the working environment including: —individual psychological counseling -Support to counter stress by ensuring the possibility of using sports passes without having to give up private life.This task will be realised by introducing one hour/week intended for a sport for the participant as part of his working time.They will also be provided with a sports room for group sports and a parking lot for bicycles to promote cycling to and from work. 2.Prophylactic programme concerning diseases of the musculoskeletal and peripheral nervous system caused by the working method. It will be implemented through: —ind. ergonomic consultation of workplaces and their retrofitting, physiotherapy in the workplace. An important complementary element of the abovementioned programmes will be Health EDUCATION, which will consist of: 1.workshops and health-promoting training, 2.integrative picnic for workers and their families. All of these actions are intended to minimise the dangers of civilisation diseases and to increase the comfort and quality of work for both employers and employees.The project is implemented in partnership with a non-governmental organisation entered in the Register of Training Institutions in training and guidance.
