The aim of the project is to improve air quality in the area of Skórcz and Starygard district by increasing the use of energy from renewable sources, produced in a distributed generation. The area of intervention is Skórcz, a town with a population of 3,577, characterised by severe CO2 air pollution and particulate matter PM10. The project involves the installation of photovoltaic panels and heat pumps in public utilities and enterprises on 13 facilities. As a result of the project, the additional capacity to generate energy from renewable sources will be 0.74 MW. On the other hand, the ecological effect will be 571.17 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per year and particulate matter PM10 1.848 tonnes per year. This project is the second element of the construction of an energy island in Skórcz. Implementation of this concept will significantly improve the energy security of the city, improve the energy balance and living standards of the local community.
