The subject of the project is the comprehensive modernisation of the external lighting system (1919 pieces representing 85 % of the total public lighting in the Kościerzyna energy system) with energy efficient LEDs in communication lines and public spaces and the creation of an Energy Management Centre. The aim of the project is to improve the efficiency of municipal energy infrastructure, reduce the demand for electricity, reduce costs in this respect and as a result improve the energy balance of the Kościerzyna and Pomeranian regions, and improve the air quality of Kościerzyna and Pomerania. The project will reduce annual carbon dioxide emissions by 395.67 Mg CO2 and annual electricity demand by 485 MWh. The project will support the implementation of the EU’s climate and energy package.
