The aim of the project is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere. It will be achieved through the construction of a high-efficiency cogeneration system (a liquefied gas power plant) together with a 1.16 km long district heating system. Thanks to this investment, 1 2.4 MWe heat source and urban power infrastructure will be created to replace a significant number of local boiler rooms and old, well-exploited home furnaces emitting 13859.10 t/r CO2 equivalent. The planned actions will reduce gas emissions by 10 816.90 tonnes of CO2 equivalent, representing as much as 78 % of the existing emissions in the project area and PM10 particulate matter emissions from 2.1 million t/year to 0.027 t/year, representing 99 %. This will improve the comfort of life of the inhabitants of Skin and their health. The standard of social and economic life of the local community will also be raised.
