The aim of the project is to raise environmental awareness and to shape attitudes supporting the sustainable development of Pomorskie voivodship among residents, tourists and individual users using the environment. This will be achieved through a wide-ranging information and education campaign. Effective environmental education requires both innovative teaching and participatory practices. The campaign will use a wide range of activities, ranging from direct interactions with residents and tourists during mass events, using attractive teaching methods. An interactive outdoor exhibition temporarily installed in different towns in Pomerania will be a tool to strengthen the interactive message of the campaign. Widening the impact of the campaign in terms of audience and area will enable diverse channels (e.g. regional television, radio, press, Internet, private medical clinics, public transport). The recognisability of the campaign will be reinforced by the planned activities using external advertising media. Educational activities will be conducted for a period of 3 years, and in each year the campaign will highlight the following themes: resource efficiency, circular economy, biodiversity protection. It is estimated that educational activities aimed at residents and tourists will include at least 500 thousand people. The applicant and the beneficiary of the funds will be WFOŚiGW in Gdańsk, and is therefore responsible for preparing the project, its proper implementation and settlement. WFOŚiGW in Gdańsk will cooperate closely with the Pomeranian Landscape Parks Team and the “Pomeranian Union” Association. The task of these entities will be to promote campaigns within its own information and education activities and to enable the Fund to participate in organised or co-organised outdoor events.
