Project Subject The project consists of the creation of Silesia LABMED Research and Implementation Centre – a network of modern specialist laboratories, which will combine existing and newly created infrastructure of the Silesian Medical University in Katowice (Department of Medicine in Katowice and Faculty of Medicine with the Medical and Dentistical Division in Zabrze). Material scope The project will include the modernisation and equipment of existing laboratory rooms located in the SUM buildings at ul. Jordana 19 in Zabrze and construction and equipment of a new facility in Katowice-Ligota adjacent to the south-east side of the building C1 located in Katowice on ul. Medics 18. Project logic The implementation of the project’s material scope will help to solve the problems identified and achieve measurable objectives – including, above all, enhancing the research and implementation potential of the region, the Applicant and the business sector.
