The aim of the project is to modernise databases, mainly state geodetic and cartographic resources, in order to increase the up-to-dateness and reliability of databases by bringing their content into line with the corresponding real image in geographical space, along with adaptation of their structure and attributes corresponding to the new legal regulations contained in the amended regulations, issued to the Act of Geodetic and Cartographic Law. The measures taken are aimed at increasing the institutional capacity to perform statutory tasks by local self-government units while ensuring, both the public administration and the public (the users of databases) have access to high quality data and the provision of electronic services at the highest possible level. In order to achieve the project’s objectives, it will also be necessary to develop existing ICT systems (skills and GIS) and technical infrastructure.
