The project involves the installation of RES installations in residential buildings in the 10 municipalities of the Western Subregion, covering more than 72 % of the Subregion’s population, where air pollution is one of the largest in Poland. In total, 1214 RES installations will be constructed, covering both the production of heat for central heating and central heating and the production of electricity. The project is implemented in a grant formula, where the following technologies have been co-financed: — photovoltaic installations, – heat pumps for central heating, – biomass pellet boilers. As a consequence, the project under consideration pursues the key objectives of the ROP, regional and national policy in the field of air protection – from increasing the level of production of energy from renewable sources, through improving energy efficiency, developing prosumer energy, to reducing emissions of pollutants (mainly particulates) from the heating installations of the municipal and residential sector.
