“Gminas with good energy” – replacement of heating equipment in residential buildings in the Western Subregion of the Silesian Voivodeship

The project involves the replacement of high-emission heat sources and installation of RES installations in residential buildings in the 13 municipalities of the Western Subregion, covering more than 77 % of the Subregion’s population, where air pollution is one of the largest in Poland. In total, 341 installations will be constructed, covering both the production of heat for central and central heating and, as a complementary element, the production of electricity. The project is implemented in a grant formula, where the following technologies have been co-financed: — gas boilers, – biomass pellet boilers, – connection to the heating network and – photovoltaic installations (as complementary technology). As a consequence, the project under consideration meets the key objectives of the ROP, regional and national policies in the field of air protection – improving energy efficiency, reducing pollutant emissions and combating low emissions, as well as increasing the production of energy from RES.
