Modernisation of the lighting system in Tychy – Area 2 and 4

The project includes modernisation of street lighting in two (out of four) city areas: 2 and 4. Area 2 includes settlements D, E, F, N, O, U and T. Area 4 covers settlements A, B and so called settlements. The old Tychy. Both areas are insufficiently illuminated due to the considerable technical use of the infrastructure and the deployment of luminaires. The scope of the project includes replacement of existing luminaires for new, energy-efficient, replacement of most lighting columns, installation of cable lines and construction of new lighting cabinets. The power of the street lighting system will be significantly reduced by replacing existing luminaires with LED luminaires, mostly equipped with an intelligent control system. 1631 luminaires will be installed in Area 2 (in place of the current 1463 luminaires); in 4, 677 luminaires will be installed (in place of the current 615 luminaires). The increase in the number of luminaires is due to changes in street lighting and light for pedestrians.
