The subject of the project is the modernisation of street lighting and public places in Ruda Śląska, based on the use of energy-saving LED luminaires. The project includes the dismantling of 3 751 luminaires and 667 concrete lighting columns with a total power of 652.5700 kW, as well as the purchase and assembly of 3,751 new LED luminaires and 667 columns with a total power of 318.0800 kW, thus creating a network of modern lighting points in LED technology. The investment will be carried out in the city of Ruda Śląska. As a result of the project, electricity costs will be reduced as well as emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere (CO2, PM10) will be reduced. In addition, the project has an impact on improving the quality and safety of urban transport.
