Intelligent Traffic Management and Control System in Tychy

As part of the project, a traffic control and monitoring system will be created, which will cover nearly 40 junctions in the city – most of them are to be completely rebuilt. The streets will include measuring stations for weather conditions, pollution and noise, as well as dynamic parking boards, which will indicate the level of filling of the car parks. Signs of variable content will also be introduced to inform traffic participants about the dangers and obstacles on the roads. It will be possible to measure the mass of vehicles in motion without the need to stop or reduce the speed of cars. This solution will reduce the degradation of the road network. It will improve the functioning of public transport. The traffic of buses and trolleybuses will be kept tracked on the emaps. In the event of delay, the road traffic control system will be able to introduce a priority for these vehicles at selected junctions with traffic signals.
