The system of integrated interchange nodes in Katowice – Ligota node.

The beneficiary of the project and the entity implementing the project is the City of Katowice. Period of in-kind implementation: 2016-2017. Total value of the project: 13 691 260, 41 zlotys. ERDF co-financing: 85 % of eligible costs i.e. 9 328 126,11 PLN. The subject of the project is the construction of the Katowice System of Integrated Interchange Nodes – the “Ligota” junction, which will provide transfers from bus to train and from individual transport, including bicycle, to train (and vice versa from train to bus and individual communication), in the area of access to the Katowice Centre from the southern part of the city, in the Park & Ride system and Bike & Ride. The specific objective of the investment is to create a sustainable transport system in Katowice through the construction of infrastructure for the integrated interchange node Ligota. The project will directly reduce emissions from the sources of communication through the development of publ. transport and reduce the volume of car traffic in Katowice.
