Development of sustainable urban mobility in Rybnik

The main objective of the project is to increase the availability of major public transport hubs in the city with a view to improving accessibility for cycling and complementary car transport. The project plans to expand 3 interchange centres located at the main railway station, the public transport station and the Paruszowiec railway station with Bike &Ride car parks, and in 2 locations small car parks such as Ride will be made. The various tasks will also include elements of land development in the form of seats, green spaces, garbage bins, hardening of the terrain and greenery. There will also be a tunnel in Rybnik-Paruszowiec, which will significantly facilitate access to the interchange centre from the north side. These investments will be complemented by the execution (construction, reconstruction and designation) of more than 18.5 km of bicycle infrastructure which facilitates safe and comfortable access to transfer centres using a bicycle.
