The section for reconstruction begins at the junction with DK 1 in Cologne Poczecze and ends at the intersection with DK 78 in Zawiercie, including the above-mentioned intersection. Implementation of the project will increase the capacity of the road network and improve the accessibility of roads located in the TEN-T network. The scope of the project includes the reconstruction of the road construction in order to achieve the technical capacity parameter – the traffic category KR5 with the permissible load of 115 kN/axle and technical class G, reconstruction of road structures, construction of road width, reconstruction and correction of intersection geometry, reconstruction/construction of pavements, exits, bus bays, bridges, walkways. As a result of the investment there will be a local extension of the road and reconstruction of existing intersections, which will improve traffic.
