The subject of the project is the modernisation of 595 street lighting lamps in the Szydłów commune based on the use of energy-saving LED luminaires. There will be a one-to-one exchange of luminaires with the booms. The project plans to use 74 W (572 pieces of luminaires) and 127 W (23 pieces of luminaires), selected to ensure compliance with the requirements of the lighting standard as far as possible. The benefits of replacing street lighting with energy-efficient LED luminaires include: large cost and energy savings, reduction of emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere. The annual reduction in energy demand as a result of the investment will be 43 % and the amount of energy saved will be 181.788 MWh/year. Greenhouse gas emissions associated with street lighting function will decrease by 145.07 tonnes of CO2/year. The project is planned for 2019 under the “design and build” formula. The project is part of the investment priority “promoting low-carbon strategies for all types of territories, in particular for urban areas, including the promotion of sustainable multimodal urban mobility and adaptation actions with a climate change mitigation unit” will be implemented under Action 3.4 “Low-carbon strategy, support for sustainable multimodal urban mobility”. The specific objective of this action is to reduce emissions of dust and harmful substances into the atmosphere. The implementation of the project will therefore contribute to the realisation of the assumptions set out in the WWW ROP for the years 2014-2020.
