The project is the implementation of a series of coherent activities including comprehensive construction works, the purchase of equipment and tools to increase the cultural, tourist and educational attractiveness of the Chęciny commune and thus the Kielce district and Świętokrzyskie voivodship. The tourist product – the Center for Jewish Culture Remembrance – will show the global impact of culture and tradition on the development of Świętokrzyskie voivodship. Traditions and history created by people with a local community will melt with cultural and historical heritage. The project will have a positive impact on the socio-economic area of the commune of Chęciny, because it directly refers to the cultural heritage of Jewish culture as a centre of socio-cultural and economic growth of the region, and thus the whole district of Kielce. The aim of the project is to extend the cultural and tourist offer in the area of the municipality of Chęciny, by creating a comprehensive tourist and cultural product – the Center for Remembrance of Jewish Culture, combining Jewish tradition and culture into a single, intriguing and modern whole. It will be open to all: the program addresses Jewish and non-Jewish, Polish and foreign audiences. Restoration of the historic building will contribute to the creation of a memorial. The objectives of the project and the planned activities are in accordance with the objectives of Axis 4 – “Natural and Cultural Heritage” Measure 4.4 “Preservation of cultural and natural heritage” RPOWS for 2014-2020.
