Development of educational infrastructure in valuable natural areas administered by Geopark Kielce

The project assumes 2 investment tasks. 1: “Protection and use of natural resources of the Kadzielnia Reserve and Park” will include the creation of a comprehensive tourist and educational infrastructure for the protection of natural areas in Kadzielnia in Kielce: the construction of educational paths (foot-bike trains with a foot/bike footbridge, lighting and protection of slopes; foot-bike path and educational point). 2: “Protection and use of the natural resources of the Wind Reserve with the retrofitting of the Geoeducation Centre” will include the creation of the complex. tourist and educational infrastructure for the protection of valuable natural areas and the implementation of teaching functions within the Wind Reserve, including the retrofitting of the Geoeducation Centre (modernisation of permanent exhibition in the Geoeducation Centre together with the project and construction of the Geological Garden of Experiences; construction of the educational path in the Wind Reserve). The scope of the project will also include promotion and information activities and the development of the Feasibility Study. Products: Number of centres carrying out activities in the field of environmental education supported-1; Number of reconstructed or modernised tourist and recreational facilities-2; Results: An increase in the expected number of visits to supported sites belonging to cultural and natural heritage and tourist attractions-2500; Number of people using environmental education centres-41500. Horizontal indicator: Number of objects to suit the needs of persons with a disability.-2. The main objective of the project – to increase the use of natural resources in the city of Kielce belonging to KOF (including through the use of natural and tourist potential in accordance with the natural environment, the channelling of tourist traffic in valuable natural areas, raising the ecological awareness of residents and tourists) is in line with the objectives of Axis 6 and Dz. 6.3 RPOWS-Description chapter. 2 SW.
