This project involves the expansion and reconstruction of the Museum of Ancient Metallurgy in Nowa Słupi, as well as the preparation of new exhibitions to ensure that the history of ancient metallurgists is studied through scenography, multimedia and interactive installations, based on the potential of the endogenous area. As a result of the construction works, the building will gain a larger area of construction, which will translate into improving the spaciousness of the building. In addition, the planned work envisages tasks related to increasing the thermal efficiency of the building and adapting the building for people with disabilities. It is also planned to organise the area around the building and replace the sanitary and water supply system. The project will produce new tourist products: educational path, using modern techniques, 3D cinema, year-round archaeological workshops, piano. The project is part of priority axis 7 action 7.2 through development of ednogenic potential. The implementation of the project therefore contributes to the specific objective – Improved conditions conducive to economic growth by supporting new and strengthening the existing socio-economic functions of sites with specific needs of action 7.2 Development of endogenous potential as part of a territorial strategy for specific areas. The potential of the municipality of Nowa Słupia is the iron ore present in the region and the resulting historical and cultural heritage, as an endogenous resource, key to the development of tourist functions, the creation of new jobs and the increase in income of residents.
