The main objective of the project is to adapt the material base of cultural institutions, the Cultural and Library Centre to conduct modern cultural activities and create a place to preserve Barczew’s intangible cultural heritage, where representatives of various religions and religions co-existed years ago. The project will consist of modernisation and extension of the building located in the revitalisation site in Barczew, together with the purchase of equipment, enabling cultural institutions to integrate the offer of cultural institutions in the development of tourism products and adapt it to modern cultural activities, including building local links between people and local identity, using modern ICT applications and services. In the part of the building, the Centre of Many Cultures will be created: a modern building referring to the history of Barczew, in which for many years the followers of Judaism, Evangelical, Catholic and Orthodox religions lived. At CWK there will be chambers dedicated to individual cultures with preserved characteristic elements such as costumes, museums and publications. For each culture, a multimedia journey will be created, in individual chambers there will be spatial sculptures of characteristic religious buildings, which will be an advantage for the blind. The traditional clothes or attributes of each culture will be reproduced. The modernised rooms will also host creative workshops, based on traditions of culture and crafts. The project is part of the activities foreseen under the Priop Priority Axis Culture and Heritage, Measure 6.1 Cultural Infrastructure, Submeasure 6.1.2 Cultural Institutions because it meets the shore conditions set out in the SzOOP, formal criteria for project selection and substantive criteria. Its implementation will contribute to the implementation of the indicators set out in the ROP.
