The subject of the project is the extension of the Voivodeship Road No. 504 Pogrodzie – Braniewo on the section Pogrodzie – Frombork. This section is located in Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship, Braniewski and Elbląg County in the following areas: Tolkmicko and the village of Frombork. Length of section to extend 8.364 km. The extension envisages the execution of the above-mentioned works: — road surface reinforcement, load capacity of 115 kN/axle; — leading the way to Class G parameters by correcting horizontal and vertical arcs; — reconstruction of existing intersections; — reconstruction of engineering facilities, reinforcement to class A; — construction and reconstruction of pavements, bicycle paths, bus bays, individual and public exits; — construction of new and reconstruction of existing pedestrian crossings; — section of conflicting trees: trees along the road (walls) and trees behind the avenue of trees along the existing roadway (in ditches); — construction and reconstruction of road drainage; — construction and reconstruction of road lighting on sections passing through towns; — reconstruction of collisions with foreign devices; — greening within the limits of the planned road lane; — repair of the roadsides and renovation of roadside ditches; — execution of vertical and horizontal markings. Stages of the project: construction works, supervision (author, investor), promotion, preparatory work (project documentation), real estate purchase, specialised services (laboratory research). The project fits into the assumptions of the SzOOP RPO WiM 2014-2020, priority axis. Transport infrastructure, Measure 7.1 Regionally important road infrastructure. Road DW 504 has a very important function in the north-western road system of the voivodship. It connects to S7 (TEN-T base network), DK 54, and through it to the S22 road (TEN-T base network, European road E28) and leads to border crossings.
