The aim of the project is to raise awareness of the local community through the implementation of various forms of out-of-school education, the implementation of which will lead to an increase in knowledge in the field of environmental protection and awareness of residents in the following areas: renewable energy sources (RES), segregation of municipal waste and recycling, saving water and energy, low emissions.Wanting to broaden the offer of environmental activities and to make spending free time for children and parents more attractive The applicant decided to:1) develop a free, public-accessible room located in the public utility building of the Sports and Recreation Centre at ul. Sports in Turku for the first, interactive and intuitive educational path. As part of the project, the necessary renovation works will be carried out and new, diverse and interactive equipment of the educational path will be purchased and installed. The room called EKO-ritar will be a place of learning about environmental protection in an attractive way.2) use mobile equipment purchased for the purposes of the educational path to create an outdoor EKO-STOISKA, run by the Applicant during large outdoor events. Mobility of the “education path” aims to enable a very wide range of recipients to participate in this form of education.3) Instruct an external information and education campaign in the field of environmental protection, i.e.: — creation of a website dedicated to ecological activities,- publication for children and informer for adults and leaflets with ecological content, – conducting eco-workshops in kindergartens, schools and senior club and outdoor Eco-workshops for residents of the region.The project will contribute to the achievement of product indicators:- 1 centre conducting activities in the field of education.
