The subject of the project is comprehensive actions to prevent overweight and obesity of residents of the MOF Poznan. The project will last for 36 months from 30.09.2019 to 29.09.2022. The main objective of the project is in the period from 30.09.2019 to 29.09.2022 screening 22 059 people from the project area and completion by 1764 of them multi-component support to reduce body weight, improve eating habits and raise health awareness of people at risk of inactivation in the labour market. The project will be attended by 22 059 people (11 029 K, 11 030 M) working or living in the Poznań MOF, aged: K 45-59 years old, M 45-64 years old. They will undergo screening and receive personalised advice on diet and physical activity to maintain weight (persons with correct body weight) or weight reduction (persons with excessive body weight). 1 764 people will be selected from the group of above-mentioned persons who meet the criteria for qualifying for weight loss therapy. The therapy will last 6 months, during which the participant will receive support from a nutritionist, a physical activity specialist and a psychologist/behavioral therapist aimed at weight reduction. The project through information and education activities addressed to the entire population of the MOF Poznan (including distribution of 100,000 leaflets, 1,200 posters, website) will increase the awareness of residents about health risks arising from overweight and obesity and will provide knowledge about proper diet and physical activity to maintain proper body weight. Ongoing monitoring of the support provided will ensure high project effectiveness.
