The project “The care services available to the inhabitants of Ostrów Wielkopolski” is a response to the needs of the residents of Ostrów Wielkopolski. According to the Strategy for Solving Social Problems of the Municipality of Ostrów Wielkopolski for the years 2016-2020, which points to an increasing number of elderly people requiring support in the form of care services. The project will be implemented in the period from 02.01.2018 to 31.12.2020. Its main purpose is to cover on average 80 independent, elderly residents of Ostrów Wielkopolski in the years 2018-2020. The project will involve dependants who have not yet benefited from assistance in the form of care services – at risk of poverty and social exclusion, in accordance with the Guidelines for implementing social inclusion and combating poverty with funds from the European Social Fund and the European Regional Development Fund for the period 2014-2020”. As part of the project, there will be 20 environmental carers and a physiotherapist(contract) who will provide care services in the place of residence, tailored to the individual needs of the participant. In addition, an additional form of aid in the form of a special benefit is provided for participants in the project. The measures taken will result in an increase in the number of people covered by care services from the group of people at risk of poverty or social exclusion and an increase in the number of care services provided compared to 2017.
