The subject of the investment is the extension and reconstruction of the two-storey building (height 9.6 m) of the old primary school building at ul. Grabowska at public kindergarten. Ultimately, the building will be divided into two parts: preschool – occupying ground floor and residential located in the attic (outside the scope of the project). The investment included repair and construction works and works related to the reconstruction of internal sanitary and electrical installations. In addition, the building will be expanded to the north-west and the construction of new staircases, ramps and external platforms allowing access to the facility for persons with disabilities. The preschool will have three branches – one branch for 25 children and two for 20 children each. Thanks to the new investment, the number of places in kindergartens will be increased by 65. The creation of three new branches is a response to a significant shortage of places in kindergartens and the very high public demand in Ostrów Wielkopolski in this regard. The architectural solutions used were chosen to ensure the full functionality of the building. Communication lines are designed in such a way that they do not restrict the movement of persons with disabilities in particular wheelchair users. It will be a safe building that meets all the standards required by preschool facilities. The usable area of the kindergarten after the investment will be 358.79 m². On behalf of the investor, all works and their regularity will be supervised by a competent supervisory inspector. The project’s products to be achieved at the end of 2018 will be the number of pre-school facilities supported (1 pieces) and the potential of support for childcare or educational infrastructure (65 people).
