The project’s material scope includes the construction of a bicycle path from Niekłonies to Trzebieże with the facilities "Bike& Ride", the purchase and installation of a world of stops with parking places for bicycles. The Municipality of Police is responsible for the implementation of the project: Technical – Investment, Development and Assistance Funds.Type of project 1-concerns the construction of an infrastructure facility of an integrated public transport system in order to reduce road traffic in Police. Project implemented within the framework of the ZIT SOM Strategy. The support will contribute to improving public transport by facilitating the use of urban and public transport – the road for bicycles will connect residential areas with industrial areas in the Police Municipality and with interchange centres, as well as an alternative route to the Police centres for individual car transport.The action is taken in the area for which PGN and the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan were created. The intervention takes place, among others, in the area of Nieklonians, Uniemyśl and connects these villages with the interchange centre located on the outskirts of the Poles. The project aims to change the mode of transport from an individual car to an individual bicycle as a means of getting to the interchange centre, workplaces and schools. The project implements the principles of urban transport. Meets the criteria for: wider use of public and non-motorised transport, reduction of the use of passenger cars, integration of transport industries, reduction of pollutant emissions, congestion and noise, improvement of road safety.
