Purchase of electric passenger rolling stock by rail

The project assumes, in the basic contract, the execution and delivery of 17 (12 three-member and 5 four-member) electric traction units for regional rail passenger traffic with the possibility of using the right of the option for the procurement in addition to 10 electric traction units, with the possibility of placing a supplementary order, representing no more than 20 % of the value of the basic contract. In addition, as part of the order, a simulator will be provided to train drivers, without the risk of endangering people’s life and health or damage to property. The purchased electric traction units shall carry out regional passenger services on the following sections of the railway lines: 351 Szczecin Główny – Poznań; 351/401 Szczecin Główny – Świnoujście; No. 351/401/407 Szczecin Główny – Wysoka Kamieńska – Kamień Pomorski; 273 Szczecin Główny – Kostrzyn; 351/202 Szczecin Główny – Koszalin – Słupsk. Vehicles purchased will, in accordance with the decision of the Voivodeship Management Board, be transferred to the Operator on the basis of the Owner’s Agreement, in accordance with the relevant provisions of national and Community law. The final beneficiaries directly benefiting from the implemented investment, implemented with the help of European Union funds, will be current passengers using transport services, i.e. mainly residents of the Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship, but also residents of neighbouring voivodships and other regions of the country and citizens of other countries arriving and staying in the Western Sea region, both for private purposes (e.g. personal, tourist) and business – their main benefit will be higher travel comfort and saving time.
