The submitted project focuses on research of glutamatergic neurotransmitter system, which under physiological conditions controls a wide range of processes in the brain and participates in controlling normal brain development. At the same time, its dysfunction plays an important role in a number of neuropsychiatric diseases. The project focuses on its role in clinical practice and experimental models. This course of research has a long tradition and a high reputation at international level at the participating workplaces.
