The submitted project deals with development and research in the field of new nano and micro coatings on the surface of selected metallic materials. The main aspect of the project is research into new advanced surface treatments and modifications of materials surfaces in order to increase selected mechanical (e.g. hardness, abrasion resistance), chemical (e.g. corrosion resistance) and physical (e.g. thermal stability, thermal conductivity) properties.
