THE PROJECT COMPRISES BOTH STRUCTURAL AND OPERATIONAL MEASURES FOR SMART GRIDS. THE PURPOSE OF THE STRUCTURAL MEASURES IS TO CHANGE THE DESIGN OF THE PLANT IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THE CONDITIONS FOR OPERATION AND TO IMPROVE THE DESIGN OF THE INSTALLATION. THE DESIGN OF THE INSTALLATION SHALL CONSIST OF THE USE OF STATE-OF-THE-ART DEVICES ENABLING THE COMPLETE SMARTISATION OF THE PRIMARY CABIN AND THE UNDERLYING CABS. IN ADDITION, THE MT LINES WILL BE REPLACED BY NEW ALUMINIUM AND ALUMINIUM WIRE CABLES. THIS PROJECT QUALIFIES AS SMART GRIDS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SMART TECHNOLOGY DEVICES AND APPLIANCES FOR THE IMPROVED MANAGEMENT OF THE ELECTRICITY GRID, WITH THE AIM OF FACILITATING THE INCREASE IN THE SHARE OF ENERGY DEMAND COVERED BY GENERATION FROM RENEWABLE SOURCES.
