THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROJECT IS TO DEVELOP MICRO/NANO-STRUCTURED SYSTEMS BASED ON NATURAL POLYMERS EXTRACTED FROM ALGAL BIOMASS TO BE USED AS ACTIVE FUNCTIONAL SUBSTANCES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW HIGH VALUE-ADDED PRODUCTS IN THE FOOD, COSMETIC AND TEXTILE SECTORS. ALGAL BLOOMS, WHICH ARE A MARKET IN FOOD USE, BECAUSE OF EUTROPHICATION, PROLIFERATE IN UNCONTROLLED FASHION PRODUCTS THAT ARE DIFFICULT TO DISPOSE OF AND ARE HARMFUL TO THE ENVIRONMENT. ALTHOUGH ALGAE ARE AN IDEAL SOURCE OF MATERIALS, THEIR EXPLOITATION TO DATE AND STILL LIMITED AND CONCENTRATE ON OBTAINING LIPID MATERIAL FROM MICROALGAE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF BIODIESEL. L? UBIQUITA AND THE ABUNDANCE OF THESE BIOMASS MAKE THE PROCESSES OF SEAWEED CULTIVATION AND CULTIVATION SUSTAINABLE AND OBTAIN MATERIALS FROM PROCESSING THEM AT COMPETITIVE COSTS AND USING ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY METHODS. THE PROPOSED PROGRAMME WILL DEVELOP PROTOCOL
