C-H Activation represents a powerful methodology for the creation of known & new molecular entities with promising biological activity. The palladium nanocatalysts used to carry out these transformations can be prepared with known shape. In this project various palladium nanoparticle shapes were prepared & tested in a key C-H activation/direct arylation reaction. The research showed that the reactivity is greatly influenced by nanoparticle shape.
