Goal The vision is that with increased and sustainable demand for digital products and services, growth for SMEs will increase in the Stockholm region. Digital products and services give older people the opportunity to live an active and independent life both at home and in the summer house. The overall goal for SDC is that SME in the region has grown by up to 50 % and strengthened its competitiveness internationally, a forecast that is also shared by industry representatives (see Connected Care in Europe appendices and mHealth_telemonitoring_global). SDC’s ambition is that in the future this area will be a vital, growing and significant part of local business in digital service and product development. Approach The project works according to a project model, Lilla Ratten, which is standard in the City of Stockholm. This means that all documentation and reporting follow a controlled flow. This includes continuously updating the risk analysis (see special appendix). The project is divided into various sub-projects (here called activities and sub-activities) with sub-project leaders. Each subproject is also documented in the project support Lilla Ratten, which guarantees systematic governance and follow-up. Activities The aim is to contribute through participation in different forums to involve SMEs in different ways and through their innovation work creates more digital products and services. Part activity also aims to disseminate information about the benefits of products and services to users. Collaboration and requirements: This activity aims to support the project by identifying standards that enable safe and unbroken information transfer between users/information owners and identified information recipients – the development of the requirements needed in usability, technology, law, security and terms – package and for identified target groups to highlight identified requirements The Stockholm Digital Care (SDC) project will stimulate growth of SMEs by: Enabling and accelerating the development of the companies that are already active in the field of digitisation of healthcare, care and health – attract new SMEs and provide support for these forward solutions Regional business involvement involved actors/partners currently have no joint list of requirements that clearly highlight all requirements towards SMEs in this area. SDC and the planned project therefore form the basis for future cohesive e-health work. Expected results and benefits Through a combined regional willingness to strategically give small and medium-sized companies the opportunity to reach a market with both regional and international contacts, expertise and networks, Stockholm Digital Care can contribute to more products and services reaching the target group. Stockholm Digital Care creates a unique development arena where small and medium-sized companies gain access to customer knowledge/needs where the company and the customer jointly develop new products and services. The project Stockholm Digital Care is expected to result in increased growth in small and medium-sized companies that are working to develop digital services and products that support active and healthy ageing in their own home. Expected long-term effects In the long term, SDC will contribute to an increase in the quality of the elderly and that they can last longer at home and stay more active and healthy with accessible digital products and services through increased demand and consumption of e-services Small and medium-sized enterprises have been given a natural arena for new products and services and the use has been simplified through common standards, which has created more jobs. The public sector for the care and care of the elderly is becoming more effective through better resource utilisation.
