Goal The overall goal of the project is to become a growth engine in Värmland and become the region in Sweden with the most Norwegian business per company. The goal of the project is for more SMEs in the region to conduct exports to Norway and to have more Norwegian visitors, for increased growth and better competitiveness. The project’s milestones are: — West-warming SME companies participating in the project will have gained sales knowledge and insight into the Norwegian market. — Westvärmländska SME companies will have Norwegian business contacts and do more business with Norwegian companies and Norwegian visitors. — The local business sector is strengthened by more Norwegian establishments and visitors in Värmland that add expertise and a larger local market. Method of working The most important thing for the project goal to be achieved is that all work is done in direct collaboration with the local business community. It is with them that the result should be done and it requires a presence, responsive and agile working methods from the sub-project leaders.The project has therefore chosen to use personnel who already have a local anchoring and in different ways strengthen the local corporate networks genoom to bring different skills, e.g. through various consultants. Activities The project has the following activities: — Business development, to increase sales and market knowledge through information meetings, sales coaching, market seminars and corporate meetings. — Reach the Norwegian market, develop market and export plans as well as necessary analyses of the market and customer surveys. — Marketing Västvärmland in Norway, e.g. by producing product sheets, annaons and sales materials for distribution, to arrange study and business trips to Norway, participate in/and arrange fairs and events that strengthen the market for Western Värmland. Regional industry participation The project has been developed in cooperation with the entrepreneur associations Nordmarkens Näringsliv and Eda Näringsliv and Säffles needs survey in the business sector. Expected results and benefits Through the project, the project has found a model for how to cooperate in the forms of establishment against Norwegian companies. They have taken steps towards forming a formation similar to Karlstad Business Region. Expected long term effects The companies have strengthened their competence and can thereby start exporting to other markets. Stronger companies provide stronger regional growth. It will benefit from the acquired experience of the project, and the model developed will be implemented in the ordinary activities of the municipalities and business associations.
