In DSA2, internal follow-up procedures have been developed. Each subproject has initially been assessed based on how they contribute to the project’s goals, indicators and horizontal criteria. Projects that have not been in line with this have not been carried out. At completion, the sub-projects have been evaluated based on how well they have contributed to goals and horizontal criteria. The follow-up model has worked very well and will be used in future projects. Activities Current activities will e.g. be the development of new applications, business collaborations, knowledge exchanges. Furthermore, work will be done for support for the development of products, services and testing and verification of products, applications and services, but also the transfer of research and development results for commercialisation. Internationalisation is also an important activity in the project. Regional business involvement DSA established a corporate network in 2013 and today the network consists of 125 companies. Through DSA’s follow-up, the project is said to have contributed to inspiration, skills development, collaboration and meetings, offering appreciated information and well-ordered activities. DSA has also developed processes and tools to stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship, for example by scouting for ideas and needs, and supporting in testing and commercialisation. An important part is also Sport and Healthcubator, an incubator focusing on idea scouting and needs reconnaissance (in collaboration with the Teknikdalen Enterprise Incubator in Borlänge). At the end of the project period, the project must have: ¿Strengthest DSA as a cluster/innovation environment – helped to create sustainable growth through the development, implementation, and commercialisation of innovative sports and health initiatives across the life cycle with the horizontal criteria as natural parts of the process. ¿Worked on a systematised process with the aim of streamlining the way from idea to innovation for sustainable growth – Created a well-functioning collaboration between Dalarna University and Dala Sports Academy Economic Association. ¿Granted to create new jobs, new companies and new or developed products/services Expected long-term effects Increased regional and national growth in the industry.
