Medtech West (MTW) is a centre in Life Science, consisting of five parties – Västra Götaland Region, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, University of Gothenburg, Chalmers University of Technology and University of Borås. The purpose of the project is to further develop the organisation’s core activities through initiatives that strengthen the entire regional cluster work in the area. This will be achieved through continued support of clinical collaboration arenas, improvement of existing collaboration for innovation support actors regionally and nationally, and increased visibility for the regional cluster initiative. What distinguishes the new initiative from previously funded regional fund projects (2010-2012), is a clearer focus on developing relations with the regional medical devices small & medium-sized enterprises (SMF).
