HICube – needs-oriented health innovation arena

The HICube project will further develop the Health Innovation Arena in Halmstad. The project aims to create collaboration between companies, academia, research institutes and public activities and to build a sought-after arena for the development of health innovation. The approach should be dynamic and focus on needs-driven innovation, entrepreneurship, research and collaboration. In parallel, a social fund project is also carried out. The project will include a project workshop, where companies will have the opportunity to develop products and services in a triple-helix structure. This means that companies will receive support through access to test environments, skills and networks to commercialise their ideas. To attract ideas to the project workshop, the project will be aimed at industry, students, public activities. The business community participates, among other things, through the collaboration group responsible for the management of the project. In the longer term, the project aims to strengthen the health innovation sector in the region and create more innovations that reach the market. The aim is to create benefits in the healthcare sector and growth in the participating companies.
