The overall goal of the project is to develop and increase access to digital services for residents, businesses and visitors in Västerbotten, thereby increasing the county’s growth, attractiveness and competitiveness in the longer term. Based on the overall goal, the project goal is to increase digital competence and increase supply as well as the use of digital services in Västerbotten. In order to achieve the desired project goal, six sub-goals have been identified. Milestone 1 (DM1): Develop and broaden collaboration across organisational boundaries to be able to streamline operations through digitalisation and increase accessibility for residents, companies and visitors. Milestone 2 (DM2): Increase digital competence based on both a strategic and operational perspective of selected target groups in the participating organisations’ activities. Milestone 3 (DM3): Coordinate and develop the e-management of the participating organisations by working with basic processes, architectures, guidelines and standards necessary for common digital solutions. Milestone 4 (DM4): Develop conditions for increasing the number of e-services, both public and private, in the region. Milestone 5 (DM5): Develop and increase the use of digital tools and services in the field of education and skills development, e-learning, in the region to increase accessibility, quality and efficiency. Milestone 6 (DM6): Create conditions where citizens through digitisation can be involved in their own care and care, e-health, while at the same time as health care providers’ operations are streamlined with maintaining security and integrity. E-health Expected results in the short term is that the region has a stronger role in the area from both a national and a European perspective. The number of digital services available to companies and residents as well as digital competence in the region has increased. In the longer term, the business sector is expected to have new and better conditions for developing new services. This is due to the fact that demand is expected to increase after the project and through the use of open public data that will be made available. Both companies and residents are expected to have a simpler everyday life with a high digital service level and accessibility.
