The overall goal of the project is to create increased growth in small and medium-sized enterprises. In order for more companies to develop, be successful and achieve sustainable growth, the project’s activities will focus on business advice for sustainable growth. The activities are aimed at small and medium-sized companies with growth potential and their business leaders. In addition, specific initiatives will be implemented to reach female entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs with a foreign background and young people who run companies with the ambition to grow. The starting point for the project is sustainable entrepreneurship where environmental perspectives, gender equality and integration are important. Through collaboration with other business-promoting actors, the project will achieve optimal results. The project will have a consultative approach aimed at an integrated overall view of the company’s needs and unique conditions for growth. By working in business terms and flexibly with methodology and pedagogy in collaboration, the entrepreneur is given confirmation and guidance towards a clearly defined goal. In the work with the entrepreneur, it is he who owns his/her own process and makes his/her own choices, which will lead to the project’s efforts to have long-term positive effects in the company and ultimately in the region’s industry. Four sub-goals of underlying activities have been set up for the project: — Investigate the companies’ unique needs. By developing/establishing a new method and work process for needs analysis, the ability to adapt and match the project’s, or other actors', offers to unique business needs for growth. With this new approach, the project expects to be able to better reach out to companies run by women, entrepreneurs with a foreign background and young people running companies and also that the approach will lead to increased cooperation in the entrepreneurial support system. — Develop sustainable companies. Sustainability is and will be a prerequisite for growth in companies. By examining how sustainability work is carried out at the region’s companies, the project aims to develop/establish a method to strengthen the companies’ business model regarding environmental, social and economic sustainability in order to create growth. — Developing growth companies by using their unique needs. Based on the needs analysis developed by the project, new services to be offered to the region’s companies are developed. The participating company is offered individual advice or participates in networks/groups based on its own growth challenge. There may be a need for improved profitability or advice on how the company can grow/future dialogue. — Developing the business leader in growth companies. The leader is the main representative of the company and the most important actor for a change within it, this makes the business leader important to reach with targeted offers. Based on the companies’ unique growth challenges linked to leadership, the project develops offerings that aim to increase growth in the company in different ways.
