The project will be based in the Manufacturing Technology Centre (TTC) to develop a strong cluster and a clear center in the technology areas Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) and Industrial Tomography (3D x-rays) with international connections. TTC will be an attractive, open and recognised platform for research and development in these areas. To achieve this goal, three platforms will be established within the centre: 3DTech Forum – A forum for and by researchers in manufacturing technology. 3DTechLab – Here companies are offered the opportunity to test the techniques for analysis and pre-production. 3DTechnet – An open network for companies and organisations interested in the technology areas. Within the platforms, study visits, seminars and dissemination of competence are carried out to strengthen the relationships between the project’s actors and provide an up-to-date picture of the use of the technical areas. Results are an important part of future collaborations between industry, academia and society and have the potential to become a unique resource for the work with Smart Specialisation in the regional development work. The established cluster should primarily be run and demanded by industry and academia.
