Innovation lock 2.0 Region Örebro County and Västmanland County Council

Today there are innovation locks in cooperation with ALMI Mälaralen in Örebro County and Västmanland County. The purpose of the activities is to promote the commercialisation of innovations in healthcare. There is an interest and preconditions for working with innovation in the public sector among relevant actors in the surrounding incentive system. Test beds are established in cooperation with Örebro and Västerås municipalities of science parks, universities and higher education institutions. But the innovation locks are in the construction phase, mostly internally oriented and there is a great need for capacity expansion and resource supply. The project aims to build up its capacity, find a clear structure for how ideas from companies should be managed and develop effective interfaces with the actors of the surrounding innovation system.
