The project is a collaborative project where the County Administrative Board of Skåne, together with the Energy Office in Skåne, has overall responsibility. The municipalities in Tomelilla, Malmö, Lund, Eslöv and Trelleborg are collaborators, and in these municipalities various activities will be carried out, which means that they have increased their share of fossil fuel-free energy use. The goal at the end of the project is that the participating actors have 100 % fossil fuel-free electricity use, at least 90 % fossil fuel-free use of energy for heating and at least 50 % fossil fuel-free use of energy for their own travel and transport. The following activities must be carried out: The municipal challenge: Each municipality annually surveys and compiles the use of fossil fuels and information and dissemination work within the organisation, for citizens and media. Fossil fuel-free fleet: Each municipality will conduct an analysis of the activities’ climate impact on business travel and identify measures to reduce climate impact on services. Collaboration with property owners: Municipalities have premises rented by other property owners and the municipalities cannot control the energy performance of the premises here. The goal is to achieve agreements on energy efficiency in and reduce climate impact through collaboration and dialogue with property owners who lease premises. Fossil fuel-free heating: Municipalities will establish a dialogue with their suppliers of district heat with a focus on fossil fuel-free district heat.
