Testbed Kiruna

The city transformation in Kiruna is a huge challenge for the city of Kiruna and one of Sweden’s largest investment projects, it is a fantastic opportunity to transform a city into a sustainable society in a short time. The Kiruna Sustainability Center (KSC) project aims to create a platform where the knowledge and solutions developed between municipalities, research and industry are gathered and where companies can develop, test and validate products and services linked to smart cities. During the process of urban transformation, world-unique experiences and knowledge will be created that can benefit both companies in the region and outside the region. The goal of the project is to establish a long-term regional, national and international centre that provides a platform for research, innovation and collaboration with companies in sustainable development. During the project, KSC partners and partners will have developed experiences, services and products that can be commercialised and market-introduced.
