The project will implement a municipally coordinated distribution of goods in Sölvesborg, Karlshamn, Olofström and Bromölla. A coordinated product distribution means that the goods are delivered to a distribution center where the goods are combined and distributed to the units through a predetermined transport loop, instead of different carriers delivering to each unit. In the project, an electronic ordering system will be implemented for the municipalities, request documentation will be created and transport and warehouse keepers will be procured. The goal is also to get an efficient flow of municipal goods that lead to reduced number of deliveries, fewer kilometres driven and reduced low-carbon emissions. The expected result at project completion is, among other things, 70 % reduced carbon dioxide emissions due to the fact that goods flow has become more efficient and 80 % less deliveries, which gives a positive impact on traffic safety.
