Digital destination development

The goal of the project is to increase the tourism industry’s sales towards international markets, by using digital services to gain better knowledge and follow up on the customer’s needs, which leads to companies and business models constantly developing. The project is carried out with a focus on sustainable processes that are integrated into the advice. An active networking and sharing approach, where companies work closer to each other’s businesses, lays a good foundation for a sustainable way of working that promotes local growth and societal benefits. Project management uses a digital way of working with digital aids, which should minimise resource use. To a great extent, the project will professionalise the industry, its business models and support development towards international customers. In order for companies to grow internationally, the project provides networks, tools and advice that lead them on the right path to a faster, easier international investment through digitalisation. The project’s target groups will achieve increased internationalisation rate & digital maturity according to digital checklist and thereby increase their sales to international customers. The project will ensure a sustainable way of working, which is not dependent on a region, but rather attractive and competitive companies, experiences and areas. If the project creates long-term business effects, it gives better chances for operations to be continued in regular operations after the end of the project.
