Medical technology for business growth in Norrland (MT4North)

The overall goal of MT4North is to help develop the region’s medical technology companies’ research and innovation activities. The project goal is to create, implement and establish a new business-oriented innovation model based on the already established network between innovation-oriented researchers and industry within medical technology in the northern region. The project will formulate an innovation model to be used to further develop a number of medical technology innovation ideas in collaboration between companies, healthcare and academia. The project should inspire and positively influence collaboration between companies, academia and healthcare. The project will develop an innovation model for research collaboration between companies, academia and healthcare. Expert groups consisting of necessary multidisciplinary expertise will then coach participating innovation projects in accordance with the developed model. The companies involved in the innovation projects get help in developing and testing ideas. The model will finally be evaluated and disseminated. The initiative is expected to result in increased growth and competitiveness for medical technology companies in the region as well as increased innovation collaboration between industry, academia and healthcare.
