Smart industry is a designated area of strength in Eastern Sweden. The automotive industry is facing a technology shift where electric vehicles are the future. It poses a threat to many of today’s suppliers while at the same time it is an opportunity for others. The project is aimed at suppliers in the automotive industry, primarily in Sörmlands and Örebro counties. The activities that the project will be working on are: — Identification of companies, their needs and follow-up of activities. — Future scenarios and ¿Technology roadmaps¿. — Area coordination, based on autonomous vehicles, application of digital technology, electric vehicles and future production techniques and systems. — Business Development The purpose of the activities is to create the willingness and knowledge to act in the companies. This will then lead to activities for business development in the project. The intention is for the project to become a foundation of a programme that then lives on in new projects and activities.
