The overall goal of the project is to create increased commercialism and growth of food and food companies on Gotland through collaboration, sustainable renewal and increased processing rate. A goal that is linked to regional and national policy documents for growth and development of the food system. The project goal is to establish a platform for collaboration within innovation and capacity development of food and food companies on Gotland. The project has two target areas Capacity Development and Innovation and Market Development, each with a number of sub-goals linked to the project goal. Within each target area, activities are planned in the form of seminars, workshops and advice aimed at regional industry. The expected result of the project is that small and medium-sized food and food companies on Gotland have increased commercialism and growth, sell their products in more markets, offer market-adapted and environmentally sustainable products, and that innovation development has increased and that cooperation between companies and academia has been strengthened. Expected long-term results are that there is an established regional collaboration platform that supports and adds added value to Gotland food and food companies in their work with capacity development, innovation and value development.
