Innovation environment Gotland

The overall goal is to strengthen the regional competitiveness, R & D and growth of small and medium-sized companies on Gotland through open innovation processes, digital entrepreneurship and collaboration – regional, national and international. The goal is linked to regional, national and European policy documents for growth and digital agendas for corresponding levels. The project goal is to establish a platform for digitally supported entrepreneurship and innovation development throughout Gotland through collaboration between companies, academia and the public sector. The project has three target areas that address both societal and business challenges. Open innovation, prototype development and internationalisation and talent attraction. Each target area has a number of objectives and activities in the form of seminars, workshops and advice aimed at the regional industry, academia and the public sector, all of which are linked to the project goal. The expected result at the end of the project is that small and medium-sized companies on Gotland have been given a platform for innovation processes, prototype development and internationalisation. Expected long-term results are that there is an established regional collaboration platform for companies’ innovation development through open innovation processes that continue to support, stimulate and have added value for Gotland companies and regional, national and European growth.
